A four-year dispute ended on 28 February 2018 between Gazprom and Naftogaz.

Based on a contract concluded in 2009, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ordered Gazprom to pay USD 2.56 billion damages to Naftogaz (out of the 44.4 billion requested by Naftogaz) for failing to deliver the volumes of gas intended for transit.

Gazprom already expressed its disagreement with this award and stated that it would defend its rights by all means.
